SI's Ban Capability and the Ignore Function ...

Michal,

<< OT: Goes to show that SI member thread banning and ignoring does not change facts or stock trends. >>

They do not .. BUT That subject (i.e. SI's ignore function and the capability of an SI moderator to ban and individual for cause was instituted a dozen years ago for very good reason) is NOT off topic. You have introduced it here as you have on many boards in the past. It is on topic because you are disrupting this discussion forum as you have several others over the years.

I hope you have taken the time to read my prior post on the general subject of individuals who intentionally or unintentionally attempt to disrupt discussion in an online community. Whether intentionally or unintentionally you are disrupting the flow of this board. As much as I dislike having to institute bans on any board I moderate your privilege to post on this board is hereby suspended for the remainder of this month.

This company board was created a dozen years ago because there was an intentional (and successful) effort to disrupt an unmoderated board for discussion of Nokia and its common stock established in 1996. The older original SI board for this company and that board's URL is show in the board's header.

"This is a discussion forum, not a chat room. The TDMA v. CDMA and CDMA v. WCDMA 'virtual holy wars' of the nineties are over and they will not be resurrected and refought here. For those that prefer to post on an unmoderated board or expand the discussion beyond this board's focus, the original unmoderated SI Nokia board founded in 1996 is here ... Subject 3710 "
I checked in here yesterday to find that in a two hour span the prior evening you had flooded the board with a dozen posts and none displayed any individual effort on your behalf that would promote meaningful discussion. The majority of those posts were simply media headlines and URLs and they duplicated posts you made on another board with an obvious intention to disrupt the board and harass the board's moderator after skirmishes with him here, there, and elsewhere .

The time in the right hand column is the time you duplicated the same post to another forum and yes, that is not a violation of SI's TOU. The aggregate is simply a violation of mine. Today you are at it again and in posts 7205 and 7206 you are taunting a contributing participant of this board who just happens to be the moderator of a very good board on Microsoft's Windows Phone that I enjoy reading.

Your actions do nothing but potentially discourage other individuals from posting here. Your posting privileges here will be reinstated on or about May 1. Should you care to constructively participate here from that time forward will be your decision. Provided you can contribute constructively -- which I know you can -- you will be very welcome.

In the board header I state: The TDMA v. CDMA and CDMA v. WCDMA 'virtual holy wars' of the nineties are over and they will not be resurrected and refought here. I could, I suppose add: The Apple v. Microsoft 'virtual holy wars' will not be fought here either' but it shouldn't be necessary.

Prosperous Investing in the interim,

- Eric -
