Hey, they may WANT to go to prison ... someone who'd been locked on distribution offenses in OK knows the consequences better than ANYONE. If they choose this ... maybe they want to be locked up or just don't care.

Is this like "Zimmerman beat up a cop years ago so he must be guilty of murder now?"

I have no respect for laws that barge into my private life. Maybe he feels the same, I don't know. I suspect it was a more practical consideration for him: paying the bills the only way he knew to do it. I don't know the details of that outrageous case, but no matter how much one believes marijuana should be illegal, it is difficult to believe any sensible person supports a life sentence for selling it.

As previously pointed out, we rarely put someone in jail for life even for murder.
