<<As usual, you completely fail to answer a simple question. A week ago you asserted that there was no liberal bias in education, today you state that most professors are liberal. Those are mutually exclusive positions, therefore at least one must be incorrect.>>

There is no causation. Liberalism is not taught because there are more liberals. Liberalism is taught because it comports with reality. What people see as liberalism is really just reality. So most professors are liberal just as most scientist's are liberal. Because of the subject matter.

When Santorum said kids who go to college often lose their religion", and so implied maybe kids should not go to college, but be home taught to avoid it? They call it faith because there is no evidence. College deals in evidence and fact and logic.

E.g. evolution is not taught as fact because liberals are teaching it. It is taught as fact because it is fact.

If a university wants to hire a biology teacher, can they hire someone who is a conservative that does not believe in evolution?

In economics most universities do hire both conservative and liberal economists because the jury is still out on that question.

History is by and large history, but it will have a different bent depending on who is teaching it, a liberal or a conservative.

But the only bias is the need to stick to the facts which is what universities try and do.

Most conservatives are religious, but religion has no facts. So colleges can't teach it except as history.
