The writer made a very valid point about the uneducated, the racist, the prejudiced, the uninformed...and stereotyping. "how did that writer know the guy was an arab?" The real question is how did he know he wasn't a Muslim which would then excuse the neighbour? I read it too quickly and had thought he knew that because he knew the doctor in question as an associate. Apparently not. So his point was valid. His example was gratuitous.
