They are smart and honest and I seldom find factual fault with them. So when I see people say they hate them, I am dumbfounded. They tell the truth about the news better than anyone does and especially the MSM. I think Jon Stewart's show almost equals the big news agencies for news on election day.

They are teaching people and especially the kids to think in a sophisticated manner. They don't dumb down anything so one has to work to understand them. I have smart nice friends who do not pay much attention to the news who tell me they don't always get their jokes.

Humor is the juxtapostioning of reality, so it requires thought. Barbara Walters said she has traveled the world and never found a stupid person who had a sense of humor.

IMO, the best indicator of an intelligent person, is someone who is funny.
