I was watching an Obama interview last night. The interviewer brought up that he had many complaints of excessive vacation. Obama at first seemed incredulous but quickly recovered and then smiled and laughed it off. That is why he is likeable to many. He mentions on one of his books that he uses similar techniques to allay the fears of his opponents.

Obama has spent a lifetime presenting a nonthreatening face in his interactions with others. It's worked for him and he's managed to convince a number of people that he's a likeable, nonthreatening guy. People need to start focusing on what he does, not what he says.
