Please refrain from posting bits and pieces that are not articulated. What did republicans not do that Obama did not do that has caused these problems?

"Prefunding" of retirement. Please explain. The post office has a lucrative retirement system. Were they required to actually pay for it? I am afraid I don't understand your cryptic messages.

In 2006, while Repubs still controlled Congress, the P.O. was required to prefund 75 years of retirement benefits in 10 years time. There is the problem.


Yes, it is a problem that the PO gives any defined benefit pension. If they switch to 401 like the rest of us, there is no pre-funding requirement.
