PX,

"In summary, the DD sector has a lot more questions than answers at this time. Short term, my guess is that we are heading down before up.

That's a cop out. <g> Given enough research an enterprising invester should be able to ferret out enough details to get a grip on the true situation. Come on, in one breath you say you have more questions than answers, then you proffer a forecast of market movement? Help us to get more hard info to nail down what's really going on, instead of waving your hands."

You misread my statement. The DD sector has more questions, not me. These questions have been discussed many times already on this and other DD threads - price war, capacity, etc etc. Do you see anything positive short term? I think your scenarios are good. The target prices and probabilities, however, are rather meaningless. This is a busted sector now. I don't see any support, be it fundamental or technical.

I have followed this sector for a long time and have decided, in my own mind, to call these cyclical stocks instead of high tech growth stocks. In due time, the sector will regroup and make a run toward the upside again. In the mean time, I am using the volatility to practice some short term trading strategies. If it is not already obvious, I have a short position at the moment but I may be long tomorrow, depending what the market offers.

Hey Brian, are you really 15 yr old or are you hoping, like the rest of us, that we can be 15 again.

Ramsey
