The postal service could cut expenses by doing what they were originally chartered to do.

In our area I go into a post office one side looks like the government's efforts to compete with Hallmark and is usually doing no business or little business. (Who wants to buy a birthday card from the Post Office that then has to be mailed at first class rates?)

The other side has a line of customers waiting for buying stamps, mailing packages and then there are the box rentals in another section.

PO boxes are expensive in our area------normal size begins at about $80.00 for 6 months.

Then there are the Priority Mail boxes or flat envelopes-------how much waste is there here? Their system there is complicated and one must stand in line to assure that every step of the mailing of these is done correctly.

Home delivery is the easiest for Obama to target as people do depend on home delivery, Someone who has driven a couple of hours to work and back doesn't want to drive an extra 10 miles to a post office that closes at 5:00 p.m.nor to spend Saturday morning to go to a PO that closes at noon or 1.

Stopping home delivery cuts at every American whether in an apartment or a house -------and creates an oh poor moi attitude that Obama hopes will re-elect him.

Sure let's take a look at the system-------but who can you trust to do an honest evaluation of the system and refine it or replace it with a new model.?

Just a little in put here
