david, go on one of those pc builders web site.. boards are little more than that.. don't count the cpu on the mb though... but, the cpu is dropping like a rock too. As for the asian prodcuts... most the directors of IT aren't going to switch even if they were 100 cheaper.... As a director of IT for a long time....I difinitely know the we've set a strategy of not going for the cheap pc's anymore. we are going with all dells, cpq, hwp, and IBM, with nothing but cpq proliant servers. We just are limiting our pc selection this time since we have to retool anyway. pc desktop pc and on engineering pc and only one type of server is all we need. Like I said, i've been through this . it was thought then that it would kill dell and cpq and it ended up helping them.
