>> There are 4400 Americans that died forever and ever in Iraq......for what?

Where to start.

To bring an end to a brutal dictatorship that had killed, on average, 5,000 persons per month for decades. To bring about freedom in the center of a region where it is nonexistent, with the expectation that it would trigger uprisings against dictators throughout the region (wow; places like Iran, Egypt, Syria, Libya, and others -- too bad we had an idiot for a president when the uprisings occurred who didn't know what to do with it!). To end a war that started when Saddam invaded Kuwait and which continued on, in very low grade fashion, for the eight years of the Clinton presidency. To put an end to a dictator funding terrorist attacks against Israel and providing safe harbor for other terrorists who chose Iraq as a training ground. And to end a persistent threat of WMD development from someone who not only had developed them, but planned to continue developing them and who posed a threat to everyone in the region. And to protect US national interests in stability of energy prices.

I can think of no better reasons for the United States to go to war, after doing everything reasonably possible to avoid it, which we did.

Even more insane or the dopes on suicide attacks like the Japs in WWII. In terms of the 20th century, 4400 is very very good statistic....unlike the insano Iraquis who killed their own people, brutally killed innoncents like Nicolas Berg on video no less and Richard Pearl, and then sent suicide idiots into the fray by the 10s of thousands. I feel very sorry for the 4400 and their families, but the morons on the other side only have themselves to blame. We didn't go there as conquerors to annex Iraq and we tried to rebuild their country and finally succeeded and now we left. You would like to equate Iraq with Hitler or something. We had no scorched earth policy, no racial genocide. They attacked us like morons and died. Helps the human race evolve by getting rid of the morons who attack us.
