I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here Syl in that you are asking for the right reasons. I'm probably wrong but I do like to give the benefit of the doubt when I can.

I sold 1/2 on the spike this AM just after open because I felt that they'd try to get it to $580 or $570 by close. Almost took a short term put play just to protect to the downside but didn't really feel like it.

I don't like buying on expiration day and don't want to carry too much into earnings. I'd actually like to see $550 but I don't think we'll get there without some sort of earnings disappointment. I'm not worried about short term action for the most part. I like position plays at good valuations into volatility like we're seeing here.

Therefore, I'll likely wait for either a big blow off and buy more or wait until after earnings.
