To keep the numbers of voters down. An (R) specialty. Watch who complains when talk of moving it from the traditional day to the weekend comes up! If they're going to keep it on Tuesday, everyone should get the day off!

I agree. I would really like to know how we got Tuesday for an election day. I suspect there is an R behind it.

Okay. I just checked it. We don't have elections on Sunday because its the lord's day......should have known there was a religious reason behind it.......and so they had elections on Tuesday so people could start traveling to their polling place on Monday instead of Sunday.
