There was a lot of pressure to overcharge Zimmerman. Alan Dershowitz reacted to the hearing by calling the prosecutors not only unethical, but stupid -- they suppressed the exculpatory evidence of Zimmerman's wounds in the affidavit. Under questioning, Zimmerman's defense lawyer got the lead investigator to admit that the state had no evidence to contradict Zimmerman's claim that Trayvon Martin attacked him as he was walking back to his car. So far, it sounds like the case should be thrown out for lack of evidence.

Think Obama and Holder would like that? They could sure use a nice race riot to galvanize the base.
