So are you espousing specialization or not? In the same post you argue for and against integration.

When I look at QNTM, I see a QNTM/MKE duo with fairly high integration. You may not consider QNTM by itself integrated but with ONE supplier, MKE ...

In the SepQ CC they said their model was 15% GM, 7% expenses and that they "met that"

The head biz is a flop, but most people have really struggled so I forgive them, however...

One question for you then. Why have they struggled so much in the high end biz? WDC seems to be doing well.

Also, as far as the vert int subject? I agree with both of you. Another key I think is to avoid companies that rely primarily on the small outsourcing of those companies which dries up first given bad times...(KMAG $80mil in 1Q96 down to $5mil in the last ouch!)
