steve,
Visited Comp USA today for some things. Inspected the computer display area. Compaqs all over the place. Counted 60+ 4500 series stacked in alses. BS'ed with sales person I have done some business with and asked about CPQ PCs. Said they were selling a ton already. Stocked for big Christmas rush on Friday. Put a number of them out so they can get them to the customer and out the door fast. Many more in the back room. Biggest stock is Compaq. IBM, and HP sub zeros also there, but not a great deal of stock on hand. Their inhouse computers at the other end of display in low traffic area next to Apples. They don't even look interesting or have a presence. Looks like Compaq is the hot Chirstmas item. You predicted this and looks like you are right on target.
