The defendant doesn't not have to subpoena any evidence, it is provided through discovery and if the prosecution fails to provide or conceals evidence that is exculpatory, the penalties are severe and could jeopardize the entire case.

Thanks, good to know the defense should have all the facts, but I still wonder if Trayvon's minor status might affect what is made public.
