what the.....jailed for 280???? You have people living in their homes free for years for not paying mortgage and nothing happens to them......people fleecing people for millions....nothing....and then put someone in prison for 280? Taken away in handcuffs!
That was a very surprising article

I thought the goal in this country was running up as much debt as you can and then declare bankruptcy and keep your stuff.

I am so confused now

This ain't new. 1/4 of prison population is there
cause they went broke and wrote bad checks,
then had no cash to pay for a lawyer, and u thought
they were evil criminals. Debtor prison has long been here
ckfraud.org
