Think a bird bath would evaporate in a couple days and need to be refilled regularly ... doubt misquito eggs and larva could survive there. They need stagnant water that stands for a good time.

You can't depend on someone's statement to change a birdbath. Decorate it during Mosquito season, as he did. and have water in the non-mosquito season.
