unlike prior Capitol Hill inquiries that focused on exposing missteps by executives and regulators, this hearing is to center on new policies to protect customer money and improve regulatory oversight. Stossel has a great series in which he points out that additional regulation just creates confusion and chaos which makes it more difficult for the market to determine what entities to avoid. Additional government is the answer to the question "how do we make ourselves poorer?"
