I support this law kind sir, please reconsider your remarks.

Ever since I was a small child I've been hankering after a birdbath of my own but have been stopped by my respect for this law.
Please don't repeal this law or I will end up in my back yard bird bathing without restraint, a fate too ugly to contemplate.

My children thank you.

I knew I would raise some eyebrows with my mosquito post. In high mosquito areas, standing water of any kind can be a problem. We deal with the real world as it is, I don't have a private city to live in to handle problems. Public Health is one are that is too important to play games with. None of this "I change my water daily so it's fresh" can be relied on.
