Thanks arno! When we go again I'll for sure look it up! It was rainy and drizzly the day we were there, so maybe that's why we didn't see it.... I like Astoria, hated what Seaside has turned into, and then went on to Portland and then Lake Oswego.....We will definitely go back to Lake Oswego....very fun little town outside of Portland.... We went to Pittock Mansion in Portland for the first time (who knew it was there....) and also of course, Powell's main huge bookstore.... Wonderful Portland....sometimes far out people, but compared to San Fran....Portland folks are the epitomy of normal.....<ggg>

My Dad was an Albacore Tuna fisherman for several years and, I would go out to sea with him for weeks on end until we filled up the hold. We'd go into Astoria to unload the catch and spend a few weeks getting our land legs back. Astoria was like a second home to me when I was 15-16-17.
