The Siri app pre-beta had more functionality. It linked directly to Yelp, Open Table that I used, maybe more. It also wasn't server dependent and response time was faster, more reliable for some OS functions like making phone calls. I think the hits on the server degraded its functionality and hopefully they're working the kinks out and will expand it in a stepwise fashion, maybe let some apps like Yelp, Open Table, travel, event ticketing hook in, then open it up further as things stabilize.
