The UK recession data. The reality is much worse as anyone knows who lived through the 70's and 80's. The 30's were much worse from what I have seen, even in the UK.

I saw a few good TV programs last night. The model village of Bournville on ex tory MP's Michael Portillo's "Great British Train Journeys". I dont know how the link below shows up in foreign parts, its the BBC and is government monopoly at work. There is DVD's etc, but you would have to convert them to show on a foreign TV. Easy enough done these days.

For some reason its so much better quality then the commercial crap stuffed with adverts. My daughter worked for the company at the Bournvillie site recently. Its all true seemingly.

The Cadbury brothers thought it a good idea for the workers houses to have a garden big enough for families to be self sufficient in vegetables and greens. The children from the area have historically been healthier than the national average.
