Written by a man who owned slaves at the time he wrote those words, and the foundation of a nation where only White, Landed, Men enjoyed the right of suffrage.

Black Men received the right to vote long before women did..

Despite the the spirit embodied in those lofty words, economic and political realities of the time prevented them from including non-whites.

The constitution of the US would never have passed a vote without the condition that slaves would remain non-voting, but count as 3/5ths of a person for the purpose of representation in Congress. And the Bill of Rights that was also contingent on the Constitution's approval said nothing about slaves.

Slavery, as it currently exists is also economic.. It's cheap labor, with the profits accruing to the economic interests of the owner.
