Elroy is in or about the Philippines, and may not respond before the close. In case we are following the rules, place your order as you want, as the rules describe.

If your order did not go through from yesterday, due to your error, today is a trading day. If it did go through, today's order may be rejected because it is not a trading day. Check the rules to see what applies to you.

Either your whole order was rejected or only the APPL part. I think the CMG short goes through Tuesday and you have the other portion to go.

But no more than half the portfolio can go into any one position. Since the CMG short went against you, I think you are limited to half the portfolio value at today's close.

I am unclear on the status of my trade-if it did not go through do I need a replacement trade before market close today?

As a reminder, I'm in the Philippines and will generally be asleep by 11am New York time. That's one of the problems with these accidental trades, I won't see them until I wake up, usually a few hours after the market has closed.

I think you meant AAPL in your trade, since they were reporting that afternoon, so we'll leave it as intended. For me the main thing is spending less time fiddling with the spreadsheet, so I've already got AAPL in there, so that's fine with me. It also doesn't seem a big deal (you aren't near first, and the round is almost over).

As for what constitutes the normal rule to be followed, we have yet to have any major disputes regarding the rules and we have no people intentionally gaming the system, so I think whatever we have in the header will serve as the "rules" if there is a more meaningful problem in the future.

SIMO reports after the close Thursday, so it aint over 'til it's over......
