No question there are wasteful programs... bipartisan like pork, for example hundreds of billions in weapons systems the Pentagon doesn't want. Plenty of things to fix. Plenty of people gaming the system at the "top" "bottom" and "middle" of our society. Plenty of laws that need reform. Too many prisons, not enough successful schools... HOWEVER, we have to have adult dialogue and view government investments for their ROI before we throw them out in a heap of hyperbolic rhetoric and people building up private aresenals. The highways, clean water, food inspection, clean air, anti-trust enforcement to me are priorities as well as opportunities for all children to achieve with their merit with some somewhat equal playing field with those born on third base. This makes me a radical "lefty"?????? I don't get that at all, it makes me what used to be lauded as a populist American who wants us to be a dynamically great country, valuing community, constantly improving.
