You gotta remember, just like every other "newspaper" published
in this country, Alan Abelson is interested in one thing only.
How many copies does he sell. The accuracy, or inaccuracy of the information contained,IMO, is irrelevant.

If facts counted at all, would all those toilet paper tabloids
by the grocery store checkout lines exist?

Bob, I hate to read the cynical commentary as well. I once met a broker who said that if anyone listened to Barron's point of view they would not have participated in the bull market of the 1980s or 1990s. My only concern about Hong Kong and China is that there is little reason for them not to feel the shakeup from the Asian crisis. After all, this whole crisis is basicially irrational, andything considered Asian is poorly managed and out of control. We all know that long term, the Pacific Rim countries will do very well, but at this point, we can only expect this irrational crisis to continue.
