It could well be mindless. But I think it's just my mockery of paranoia about things Christian. Del is worried about an imminent "theocracy". Sure. A lot of Fundies still think Catholics are servants of the Antichrist. Reformation Christians think Fundies are anti-intellectual buffoons. Dispensationalists watch the headlines intently for their peculiar ideas of The End. Christmas Carols and creches are ever more banned from the public square, and corporations celebrate "winter holidays" without ever mentioning Christmas. The only thing you would get out putting all the Christians together is a big fight and three new denominations.
