if by good intentions you mean 'good for THEM' (our gov't overlords) versus we the people, then yes, we are in violent agreement.... actually, I was thinking more along the lines of how the programs are justified to the voting public. Whenever it is do-gooding, whether domestic or international, you know that it ain't going to accomplish what it is claimed to do and that the unintended consequences are going to suck for us in the long term. And we have to pay for it pretty much forever.
