JCI

My quick review is that this is a good value play. Management estimates have not been met for several qs and that has delayed buying interest.

JCI: Not a good day for Johnson Conrols (earnings miss). I find this conglomerate tough to value -- three major business segments. And a mixed macro environment: European operations not doing so well; heat wave here helping USA operations. Company looks fully-valued on some metrics (e.g. imo p/sales). Otoh, if national/international economies improve, I'd guess JCI will do okay, and stock will revert to a higher p/e and higher stock price than currently. (I hadn't realized how large the company was: 162,000 employees according to Yahoo)
-------------
From a 10/11 JCI presentation:

Year-over-year revenue growth in 64 of the last 65 years
Earnings growth in 20 of the last 21 years

I'll take a very small number of shares for a tracking position.
