Obama risked his own entire political future on this, the courage to do the best thing for the country and protecting our standing with moderates in Pakistan and the entire region.

He could have played it safe dropping the bunker busters from 50,000 feet, to get Bin Laden. Had he failed the partisan noise machine would have blamed President Obama and NOT the Navy Seals. And you and others here would have been frothing at the mouths to finish him off. All the collateral human and political damage from taking the safer political path -- including the lives of more American soldiers and citizens in the middle east, was minimized, and the proof of Bin Laden's death was available. Additionally we got a huge amount of intelligence.

A great victory for all Americans, a man who put his political future beneath doing the right thing.

The uber partisans are always first to project on and tag their opponents (in this case the POTUS) as acting only for political gain. With Rove-Limbaugh-Ales and their baaaaaaaah sheep, America is beneath Republican. A very sick era in our country's history.

Oh it was definitely a mission where Mr. Murphy was almost certain to make an appearance, but when you look at what all these guys (Seals, D-Force) have done before, this was not really particularly hairy. I imagine any of them would say "all in a day's work". It's the kind of thing they train for, day in and day out .. and live for. Don't get me wrong, they deserve beaucoup credit .. much moreso than Obama, who had the easy part. But they deserve a lot of credit for a lot of things ... a good portion we hear nothing about.

I don't believe Obama should take credit to the extent it sounds like he was there. I also don't think they should try to pretend as though Romney wouldn't have done the same thing.

They're awfully quick to deny responsibility for anything that goes wrong .... so actually I don't see how they really have the nerve to take credit for what is basically the only thing that has gone right under Obama's presidency.

"Arab Spring" is a total nightmare. Is anyone in the White House taking responsibility for any of that?

Is Obama taking any responsibility for elevating the feelings of racial hatred over his ill-timed, and poorly thought out interjection into the Zimmerman case? He and Holder in essence issued a license for street gangs to pillage, plunder and assault, as long as it was "for Trayvon".

The man is a walking disaster.

"But it was planned by the SEALs, not Obama.. He just gave his permission.."

Obama didn't give his permission, he let Raven make the call so he would have a scape goat. Obama's people probably remembered how Carter fukked up the Iran rescue.
