The reason I like Obama is that he appears to think somewhat like I do. So if he kept the guy on- I can assume there was a reason. Obama was against the war, as I was- so if he finds that it is difficult to extricate the US from it, I'm going to trust his judgment- where I would not trust the judgment of some right wing twit- the kind who got us in to the mess in the first place.

Much of the security information the president acts on is not public- so you do have to trust the man in charge. That's why reps hate Obama. He's not a clueless warmonger. You can't blame him for our bungles in the ME- you have to blame the Neocons for those. It was their wet dream. And they'd like to go back for more. I'm hoping young people are not so clueless as to let all that slide down the memory hole. There's only one person for non-warmongers, centrists and liberals to support- and that's Obama. Tell your friends, tell everyone- the wingnuts did too much damage. They are not to be trusted again. In the end some of the responsibility falls on us- so do your best. Don't spend a minute trying to talk to the wingers. They might as well be dogs and cats for all they understand the failings of the Bush years- as they lost touch with reality a long time ago. But for everyone else, there's a lot of material to use. Go forth. Spread the Good Word ;-)
