my wife has a strong preference to not think about the investments. any time i wish to discuss them with her, i know i need to open at least one bottle of wine. last time two. she wants me to tell her the following: 1. i am not doing crazy things in excess, and as regards to her money only a little. (i cannot imagine a situation where i would invest my wife's money in NOVS, so that part is fine. and the name is so illiquid that i cannot buy in enough quantity to get myself in any trouble.) 2. everything will work out. (sure honey. see these spreadsheets? they show how, under the assumptions given, everything works out. are the assumptions reasonable she asks? of course honey. and they probably are. oh i think a lot about tail risk, but that is not a subject she has shown much interest in, so that is not one we talk about.)
