Joan, I rcall couple of weeks ago the were many well publisized estimates that Asean mess is to shave 0.1 to 0.2% from US GDP. Today, Ms. Yellen said it's going to be about 3/4%. At this rate, by January we're going to be in a recession.

If S. Korea melts down and is perceived as weak and in a financial tailspin by the North Koreans - That IS a national security issue.

Hi Joan,

Maybe Maddy believes that if things get bad enought in Asia, there might be some international looting. Just a thought.
