The Olympic games are evolving, new sports are always being suggested as part of the competition. Throwing the javelin was probably initiated from military activities. I suppose "shoot down the terrorists who have taken over control of the airplane" will be up for discussion soon. The number of missile sites to cover the Olympics is being upped. channel4.com and must not forget the aircraft carriers. A handy tool for keeping the Olympics safe. From Wednesday, a major eight-day exercise, codenamed Olympic Guardian, will begin, involving RAF Typhoon jets, airborne early warning helicopters, Puma helicopters carrying snipers, an aircraft carrier, and an amphibious assault warship. Politicians will be consulted and make the decisions to fire in the case of an attack (What...even Jeremy Hunt? -g-)
