i haven't seen a single shareholder articulate what the earnings will be excluding bond income and the real interest rate on the debt.

There was a lot of debate about this over on IV.

As a technical matter, they are not insolvent until any demands for payment cannot be met.

Lack of adequate financial strength is a fair enough criticism but I don't see any defaults in the immediate future based on what is currently known.
