I know. It seems like the computer media wants to treat it as a zero-sum game-- if you aint in youre dead. My suspicion is the sub-$1,000 PC may have a limited existence, sortof like training wheels for a bycycle. In any event, I remember a line from Ernest Hemingway. "Every American needs to be born with a 100% built-in crap detector."
