<<What type of catalyst causes you to change following into investing in such a falling knife?>>

This is a long answer and I'll come back to it.

Briefly: RSH is not currently a falling knife. When it becomes one, I need to exit regardless of any loss.

I'll ask you this: is the ONLY reason to put on a position in RSH because it's a so-called "falling knife" (i.e. price is lower than it's been in decades)?. If you cannot find another, then perhaps it truly is a falling knife. I think i can identify reasons why the current lack of profitabiliity is not a permanent condition.

I don't need Google-type earnings here. I need mere survival in order to see a decent return and I think the prospects for death are a lot less than what the price says they are. A lot less. Doesn't mean it can't happen but I don't see it at this point.
