While the company's expectations for the product were exaggerated, I believe they really expected the good news to develop. I believe the issue with OEMs is that they view their support structure as strategic and any change of the magnitude of SystemWizard is viewed very, very carefully. Also, they have asked SYSF to customize to their specs - I don't think SYSF expected this 1 1/2 years ago. Also, as support industry standards are now being proposed and SYSF is incorporating these into the product, all of this has delayed acceptance. Not to mention the Radish acquisition.

In short, in the 1 1/2 years since the product was announced, lots of effort to improve the product but no significant sales. Hope this investment pays off over next year.

Mark,

Number 1 reason companies won't buy ...

1 - Mgt. hyped product (previous post)
2 - Cost to OEM and mgt. obstinate about their price

Additional issues -

1 - Mgt. in in for the buck - screw the shareholder.

Thanks for your insight(s)

Regards,

John McCarthy

Mark,

"COST has been a big factor...I think you would have seen Gateway on board long ago if SYSF would have offered them the product for 1/2 to 1/3 of what SYSF wanted per PC....Of course, you can move most any product if you give it away, and Angelo has been very blunt in
saying this product will save OEM's big bucks and he will not give it away to them !!!!! "

This thought is right on in light of the earnings comment that SystemWizard is now "revenue producing" at Dell. I believe that exactly what "revenue producing" means will determine how this quarter's report is viewed, and go a long way in paving the future.

Hopefully, this will be clarified in the conference call. Anyone have the number? or will report to the thread?
