Soros' POLITICO--First lady marks bin Laden anniversary

First lady Michelle Obama doesn't usually speak on national security issues, but she did briefly on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the killing of Osama bin Laden.

We finally brought to justice the man behind the 9/11 attacks and so many acts of violence,” she said at a morning fundraiser just off the Las Vegas strip, according to a pool report.

The first lady also talked about bin Laden's killing at a fundraiser last week in Florida, “Let’s not forget that all this administration has done to keep our country safe and restore our standing in the world, she said then.

The White House and the Obama campaign have been actively reminding voters of the anniversary -- and questioning whether Mitt Romney would have made the same call Obama made to approve the raid on bin Laden's compound. Obama's team has been criticized for politicizing the anniversary, but Obama said Monday he "hardly" thought there had been "any excessive celebration taking place here" over the killing.
