Hello all...
I've been an AMD shareholder since 1995 and have gone through the highs and lows with this stock. I shoulda sold at $45 this year but thought the K6 will pull AMD through. Now that AMD is sitting in the low 20's, I am wondering what it will take to get this company back on its feet.

I've got good news. In this weeks's PC Week, Compaq is currently deciding to use the K6 in its Presario and notebook line for 1998.
According to the article 60% of the Presario line would be fitted with the K6 by the end of 1998.

In another article on the same page, AMD is expected to release the K6-3D chip before Intel releases the 740.

It looks like 1998 could be a very prosperious year for AMD if the deal and K6-3D gets widely accepted.

Good luck to you all. I'm holding long and strong.
