Is it:1. The Retina display2. The 10" screen3. Ability to turn TelCo On/Off4. Faster device
In my experience it's all of the above. Wife and I sometimes fight over the iPad 3 even though the original iPad is sitting on the table in front of us.

It's not complicated - most of the time, surfing on a 4" screen sucks, if there's an alternative.

The only thing that could make the iPad better would be if you could roll it up like a scroll.
