Austin's local paper, the American-Statesman, carried a short article about a purchaser of the C-6, Winchip, in today's edition.

Under the title "AES Computers set to ship PCs with Centaur Winchips"....."Austin's AES Computers plans to ship the first computers on the market running Centaur WinChips today. The WinSpeed 180 runs Centaur's Intel compatible Winchip C6 processor running at 180MHz. The machines also feature 32 megabytes of RAM, a 2.5 gigabyte hard drive and a 24X CD-ROM drive....The system runs about $899 without a monitor."

Last week our local paper carried the story about Glen Henry and the C-6 at Comdex, now this article. It is good to see the local insight. If anything else appears I'll let y'all know.

In honor of the TexasXTexasA&M game this week:

How many Aggie freshmen will it take to screw in a light bulb?? None, they don't know how, that course isn't taught until the sophomore year....

What's the difference between the Longhorns and rice krispies?? At least the rice krispies know what to do when they are in a Bowl.
