I think Obama spiked the football on killing OBL because he got a big bump in the polls from it last year, and he hasn't got any other notable successes to publicize. I think it's just that simple. I agree it's dumb, because people do know that Romney is decisive (it goes with being a successful CEO), so who believes he wouldn't have pulled the trigger on OBL, and faster than Obama did?

It's possible Romney might make an issue of Afghanistan, but I doubt it. Romney wants to spend as much time as possible on the economy. Romney will probably stick to pointing out that Obama called Afghanistan the 'good war' then failed to win it; failed even to try to win it. He might get some mileage claiming that if Bush had captured OBL alive, Eric Holder would have tried to give him a civilian trial in Manhattan, like he tried to do for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
