Uh huh, O Wizard... looks like we have reason to be on the pessimistic side. Nikkei under 15,000, if it should occur, would likely start creaming the big banks.. The banks, as you indicate, would have to either raise capital or call in loans. They do have a problem --- if they start dumping U.S. Treasuries and drive that price down, they have a "Few" Billion more worth of those babies that they are driving the price down on!! That could become the old definition of "vicious circle"...(IMHO).. Weren't those some nasty Tech hits today??!! VLSI down almost 7!! Overdone, but that's the way irrational markets work.
