Anyone:

Some decent volume this morning and we hit 16 7/8. Anybody have any guesses why? What's the mood out there?

I'm feeling good about the quarter because of the lack of clone competition but don't think we'll break $20 until January. Nonetheless, today's drop surprises me a bit.

Franz, it is clear from your discussion that you don't understand
thin client technology. The difference from the past is that you
replace "dumb remotes" with "smart remotes", that is, the processor
and memory power is so cheap now, that essentially it cost little to
add that to the network/video package of a graphics terminal. So,
like a PC, you run the applications locally, but you also take
advantage of the net to serve all apps and files remotely. Actually,
this is "old" in the sense of how almost everyone runs larger UNIX
installations: NFS serve while running apps locally. The advantage?
Maintenance is on the server (cheaper), but processing power is on
the client, and these clients a simple desktop units, easier to
configure and maintain than UNIX client boxes. MIS managers are going
to eat this up... They won't have to leave their desks ;-)

And THAT is what is going to drive it in the Fortune 500...
