I own an iPad, but I'd rather not have to lug that around to be able to get a better browsing experience.

To each his own, but personally Siri would cover many of the instances where I need to use the handset one-handed and the larger screen would provide quite a few real world benefits.

If they can increase the size of the screen by filling out the real estate and keep the same size, I am all for it.

Same here. Whatever screen size Apple finally decides on, the phone needs to fit in the front pockets of my jeans; otherwise it's a deal breaker for me.
