Religion in general, and Christianity in particular, is attacked frequently. Ever hear of the "New Atheists." updated versions of the old atheists. You and the writer is just upset most people don't take atheists attacks seriously.

Religion DOES get a free ride as an idea.
No it doesn't. If anything, atheism gets a free ride. No one can prove a negative, so atheists don't have to prove that there is no God.

I mean, SCIENCE doesn't attack it because since it's not based on any sort of observed evidence
You're kidding me. Every atheist who attacks religion does so in the name of SCIENCE.
