Just a thought.
Now that a major obstacle to jv agreements is removed, has anyone
considered the possibility that the previous suitor will reenter the
picture with acceptable numbers and close a deal sooner than three
to six months??
If that were to happen, a good part of the negotiations will already have been worked out and we could see a JV in say one to two months.

Peace, NoMoney

I never gave much thought to the argument that nine/ten figures would be handed over so easily. I will say, however, that data on the much hyped Chikuduk formation will be interesting. If this structure really does have quantities that rival Tengiz--and aipn has a strong feeling that this is so--I would expect this area to be absolutely left out of any near term JV unless it is of the smaller exploration variety.

I'd like to see an accurate mapping of the concession and determine what land area percentage Chikuduk comprises compared to the total license area. I'm assuming that it is certainly smaller than 10% of the total. It makes me wonder about aipn's/Wavetech's priority list on data acquisition.

I only bring this up due to the speculation that this formation may be the big prize. You'd think it would be up front and center during any negotiations. And if it is, it is critical for aipn to have solid numbers on what's there. This is one situation where a quick deal might prove disasterous.
